ASRA NOMANI was a reporter for the Wall Street for 15 years, where she met Daniel Pearl and became a close friend. Since August of 2007,she has been a visiting professor in the practice of journalism at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies; leading the Pearl Project, a faculty-student investigation into the murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.

The National Association of Women Business Owners - Southeastern Virginia (SEVA) annually recognizes women who own their own business and are examples of the Entrepreneurial spirit of ingenuity, resourcefulness, responsiveness, community service and development. This year we have changed the event and will now recognize three women for three different awards.
We are currently looking for nominations for the ninth annual award dinner on March 19, 2008. (Please put this date on your calendar now!)
Nominate the business woman you think has met the criteria for each of these awards.

Where: The Children's Museum in Portsmouth
Dress is business casual, and wear comfy shoes as you try out the exhibits, listen to music, attend the silent and live auction, and enjoy wine, beer and hor de vours.
