The best way to join NAWBO SEVA is online at our national website, www.nawbo.org

  1. At nawbo.org on the top right hand side of the banner, you will see a menu option" Membership". When you highlight that option, you will get a drop-down menu and another button says "Join NOW".
  2. Click “JOIN ONLINE” to complete the online application. This is the fastest and easiest way to join. If you were a former member, your information will be verified after completing the 1st page and you will be asked if the data on file is correct. You can then continue with the application. You can also print an application and mail or fax it by following the instructions on the page. 
  3. Complete the rest of the application and pay.

Membership Categories

At-Large Member (Voting Member) $220.00 + $100.00 = $320.00 Annually

  • Business and residence are located outside of a Chapter’s organization territory (45 mile radius)
  • Individual, partner or stockholder who exercises the power to make policy decisions and is actively involved in the day-to-day management of the firm
  • Subscribes to the mission and vision of NAWBO
  • Files a schedule C or F, receives IRS Tax Form 1099 from client(s), or files corporate or partnership tax returns
  • Maintains an office (including home offices) or a business facility

Established Business Owner (Voting Member) $200.00 + $100.00 = $300.00 Annually

  • Owns an equity interest and actively participates in a business as a sole proprietor, an active partner of a partnership or active member of a limited liability company, an independent contractor, or a 5% or greater shareholder in a corporation
  • Subscribes to the mission and vision of NAWBO
  • Files a schedule C or F, receives IRS Tax Form 1099 from client(s), or files corporate or partnership tax returns
  • Maintains an office (including home offices) or a business facility Is involved in the policy-making process and overall day-to-day management of the business
  • Has been a business owner for more than two (2) years

Emerging Business Owner (Non-Voting Member) $150.00 + $100.00 = $250.00 Annually

A first time business owner with a new business less than two (2) years old, or who has not yet started her business

Sustaining Member (Voting Member) $350.00 + $100.00 = $450.00 Annually

  • Owns an equity interest and actively participates in a business as a sole proprietor, an active partner of a partnership or active member of a limited liability company, an independent contractor, or a 5% or greater shareholder in a corporation
  • Subscribes to the mission and vision of NAWBO
  • Files a schedule C or F, receives IRS Tax Form 1099 from client(s), or files corporate or partnership tax returns
  • Maintains an office (including home offices) or a business facility Is involved in the policy-making process and overall day-to-day management of the business
  • Has been a business owner for more than two (2) years
  • Wishes to support the organization in a larger monetary way

Supporting Member (Non-Voting Member) $200.00 + $100.00 = $300.00 Annually

  • A non-business owner who subscribes to the objectives of NAWBO and wish to lend support to NAWBO through membership
  • Only paper applications are accepted for Supporting Membership and require chapter approval for acceptance; contact your local chapter to apply as a Supporting Member
  • This category is not available through the online application

Student Member (Non-Voting Member) $150.00 + $100.00 = $250.00 Annually

  • An individual who is registered full time at a school or university who subscribes to the objectives of NAWBO and intends to start a business
  • Proof of full-time student status is required
  • Only paper applications with proof of full-time status are accepted for Student Membership
  • This category is not available through the online application

PLEASE NOTE -- Membership in NAWBO is recorded in the name of the individual, not the organization. Membership dues are nonrefundable and are billed annually on the anniversary date of acceptance. Upon joining, "New Members" will pay a full year's dues to National and the Local Chapter. Dues quoted are effective 09/04 and are subject to change. We are required to advise you that your Association dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal Income Tax purposes. In compliance with Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, it is estimated that 1% of the payment is nondeductible as a business expense.
